WESTFIELD ST LUKES, AUCKLAND
In association with Westfield and Farmers St Lukes SouNZ Like presented the Kidney Kids Tribute Show. It was a great day with two performances, one morning and one afternoon. We had a very appreciative St Lukes audience, some of whom we noticed stayed for both shows.
Artists paid tribute to Dolly Parton, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac, Connie Francis, Kylie Minogue, Barry White and the Topp Twins.
We had a very special guest too - Jonah Lomu the Patron of Kidney Kids gave a huge amount of time out of his busy schedule and flew up from Wellington for the day. Jonah signed green aliens, books, clothing and even people's arms to help raise funds. A very generous $14,000 was donated throughout the day, all of which will be presented to Kidney Kids to benefit over 1500 children children in New Zealand with kidney diseases. The number of children with kidney disease is growing by the week.
